Acadia National Park: Rockefeller Carriage Road Bridges { 82 images } Created 23 Jul 2011
There are 45 miles of carriage roads in Acadia National Park built by John D. Rockefeller Jr. and family for horse-drawn carriages. They're still used by horses, as well as bicyclists and hikers. We also learned that they work great with strollers when taking toddlers to Acadia. Liking complete collections, we traveled to all 17 bridges so I could take photos of them. I hope you like them!
